Ended on Collecting Cars with no result published. No hammer means nothing to grade against, so it scores neither way.

A 1995 456 GT six-speed manual running on Collecting Cars out of Double Bay, New South Wales — Bianco Avus over black, 43,057 kilometres indicated and not warranted, and critically a Hong Kong car complied into Australia in March 2022. Two figures matter here and they are not the same figure. The listing analyser puts this car's worth at about $145,000: the $185,000 library value less the import penalty, because that library figure prices an Australian-delivered right-hand-drive manual, one of the 31 that came here new, and 28 of the 38 points in this entry's scarcity score rest on exactly that count. The car keeps what matters mechanically — Hong Kong is right-hand drive, so this is a factory RHD gated manual rather than a conversion — but it is not one of the 31. What it should hammer is lower again, and the call is $120,000. That is not a second opinion on the value; it is the discount an auction applies to a niche V12 grand tourer whose Hong Kong export and deregistration paperwork was still unanswered in the listing comments when this call was made. The number is also the best-anchored one available: the library already holds a 2024 Shannons 456 at exactly $120,000. If that car was a GTA automatic this manual should beat it, and if it was a manual then $120,000 is simply the Australian market for a 456 that is not one of the 31. Internationally the model benchmarks at about US$86,000 with 2026 results from US$107,000 to US$145,000 across cars from 12,000 to 38,000 miles, and at 26,800 miles this one sits mid-pack in that set. The service file is the strongest part of the lot: specialist work through 2022 to 2025, a crankshaft timing gear set and camshaft tensioner bracket in November 2022, and a July 2025 service at 41,524 kilometres, which matters on a car whose bear case is a five-figure cambelt and valve guides. Bidding stood at $66,300 from 15 bids by 8 users with two days and seventeen hours left. Predicted hammer $108,000 to $132,000, midpoint $120,000. Buyer's premium of six per cent plus GST sits on top, so a $120,000 hammer is about $127,900 to the buyer, still under what the analyser says the car is worth.

Where this number came from

The call is a prediction of one hammer. The record behind it is the Australian evidence for the model as a whole, and it carries its own grade for how much of that evidence exists.
