Projected value in five years
The case for and against
A genuine carbon-fibre monocoque at a price no other manufacturer has matched before or since, with only around 250 estimated Australian deliveries. Its lightweight, mid-engine focus gives it a distinctive character in a market full of heavier turbo coupes.
Values have fallen steadily since 2016 rather than appreciating, and carbon tub repair after any real damage is specialist and expensive. The market is thin at 50 days on market, reflecting a small, particular buyer base. The only Australian auction appearance passed in below $70,000, and overseas sell-through is 61 per cent, so this is a thin market that does not clear easily at any price. International clearance has fallen to 43 per cent since 2024, and of ten coupe lots on record only five have sold.

Similar cars, and what they cost to run
$80,500 for a 14,824-kilometre Spider at Flowerpot, Tasmania in March 2022, against $54,500 for an 86,461-kilometre coupe in April 2025. Seventy thousand kilometres and three years apart, and 48 per cent between them, so distance and time cannot be separated on two points. The value is unchanged. The 33 Stradale Tributo already on this record at $130,000 remains a separate market. SOURCING: aggregator-surfaced results, unconfirmed against the auction house, the weakest evidence grade here.

In August 2026 this value moved from $65,000 to $78,000 on the strength of advertised asks - every coupe in the country at $70,000 to $115,000 - because the only transaction signal was a 21-month-old pass-in. Days later the gated auction prices surfaced, and the asks lost to the transactions, as they always should. The value returns to $65,000 and the round trip stays on the ledger.
A 2015 Spider, 86,461 kilometres, Madreperla White over red, sold from Dural NSW on Collecting Cars in April 2025 for $54,500. A worn example - stone chips, a scuffed bolster, and a five-year service gap closed only in October 2024 - and the Spider is the dearer body. Adjust it back to a good car at ordinary kilometres and it implies roughly $64,000 for a Spider, call it $58,000 to $62,000 for the coupe. Set against the $69,990 ask floor and an American average near A$80,000, $65,000 is where the evidence actually clears.
The 1,100km 33 Stradale Tributo, number 9 of 15 Australian cars, sold from the Gold Coast on 25 June 2026 for $130,000 - almost exactly its $123,000 list price, five years and 1,100 kilometres later. Not the $197,000 an aggregator's US-dollar labelling implied, and this record briefly repeated: the primary source corrects the converted one. It was relisted at $210,000 within two months; the market will grade that ask, not this record. Two times a standard coupe, and still its own market - read neither onto the other.
Seven advertised coupes above $85,000 have produced zero transactions above $55,000 in the public record. Until one clears, the asks are a hope, not a price.
No competition history, an owner community that concedes it trades under an equivalent-year 911, and 149 of roughly 300 Australian sales landed in the first year - the car front-loaded its market and spent five years as run-out stock.

The evidence on this model is thin and the report says so on its cover. Read a complete one on a real car first. Seventeen sections, no account, nothing to pay.
One line of email when this desk publishes a call on a Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe, or records a new Australian sale of one. Nothing else, no schedule, and on a quiet model you may hear nothing for months, which is itself worth knowing about a car you are chasing.
